What are the best Snapfix alternatives for hotels and venues?
Chris Morgan, Founder of Fixray · Last updated
The best Snapfix alternative depends on why you are leaving. If you only need maintenance and want to start without a demo, try Fixray or MaintainX, which both have free plans. Maintainly and FaultFixers suit small teams. Flexkeeping and hotelkit cover housekeeping as well, like Snapfix.
Why do hotels look for a Snapfix alternative?
Snapfix has grown into a full hotel operations platform. Its site lists maintenance, housekeeping, guest communications, compliance, asset management and a multi-site console, with connections to booking systems such as Oracle Hospitality, Cloudbeds, Guestline and Mews.
Snapfix sells through a demo. When we checked on 22 October 2026, its site offered no pricing page and no free plan, and its "Start a free trial" link opened a demo request form. Hotels that only need maintenance, or want to try a tool before a sales call, look elsewhere.
If you run a hotel group and want one platform for housekeeping, guest messages and maintenance, Snapfix may already be the right choice.

1. Fixray: maintenance only, free to start
Fixray is a photo-first maintenance app built for UK hotels and venues. Staff snap a photo and pick the location, managers see every issue in one list, and fixers close jobs with a completion photo.
The free Log tier covers one site with unlimited Reporters, unlimited issues, 2 Managers and 2 Fixers, one active guest QR poster and one active scheduled job. Track adds SLA tracking and unlimited scheduled jobs; Operate adds multi-site management. You can sign up and start the same day, with no sales call.
Where Snapfix goes further: Fixray does not run housekeeping, send guest messages or update your booking system's room status. If you need one platform for the whole hotel, Snapfix or Flexkeeping does more.
2. MaintainX: a full CMMS with a free plan
MaintainX is a CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) for maintenance teams across manufacturing, facilities and hospitality. Its free Basic plan includes unlimited work orders and unlimited requester users, with two active repeating work orders.
Choose it if you have an engineering team, an asset register and plant on a planned schedule. Check the cost as your team grows: paid plans are priced per licensed user, though requester accounts stay free.
3. Maintainly: a light CMMS with QR labels
Maintainly is a simple maintenance app sold to hospitality, aged care, schools, property and other sectors. Its free plan includes unlimited work orders, repeating work orders, checklists, unlimited request users and asset QR labels for equipment and room fixtures.
Choose it if you want QR codes on every asset and do not mind a general-purpose tool. Paid plans are priced per user.
4. FaultFixers: UK QR fault reporting
FaultFixers is a UK maintenance app with a dedicated hotel page. Hotels put QR tags in every room, and staff scan the code to log a fault. It works across hotels, care homes, schools, leisure and property.
Choose it if QR reporting from every room is your priority. You can start a free trial with no credit card, or book a demo.
5. Flexkeeping: hotel operations for Mews hotels
Flexkeeping is a hotel operations platform from Mews, with housekeeping, maintenance, team collaboration, automation and quality-assurance suites. It connects to booking systems including Mews, Cloudbeds, Oracle and Apaleo.
Choose it if you want Snapfix's breadth from a different vendor, especially if your hotel already runs on Mews. You start by requesting a demo.
6. hotelkit: team communication and tasks for hotels
hotelkit is a platform for hotel teams, covering team communication, housekeeping with checklists and booking-system integration, and facility management with assets and preventive maintenance. It sells to independent hotels and to groups.
Choose it if internal communication across departments is the main problem, not only maintenance. You can start a free 30-day trial or book a demo.

Frequently asked questions
- Does Snapfix have a free plan?
- No. When we checked on 22 October 2026, Snapfix offered no free plan and no pricing page, and its "Start a free trial" link opened a demo request form. Fixray, MaintainX and Maintainly all have free plans you can sign up for yourself.
- What is the cheapest Snapfix alternative?
- Three have free plans. Fixray's Log tier is free forever for one site, with unlimited Reporters and unlimited issues. MaintainX Basic and Maintainly's free plan both include unlimited work orders. Compare what each free plan leaves out before you pick one.
- Which Snapfix alternatives are built for hotels?
- Fixray, Flexkeeping and hotelkit are built for hotels and venues. MaintainX, Maintainly and FaultFixers are general maintenance tools with hotel customers and hotel pages.
- Does Fixray do housekeeping like Snapfix?
- No. Fixray handles maintenance: housekeeping staff can report faults with a photo, but Fixray does not schedule cleaning or update room status in your booking system. If you need both in one platform, look at Snapfix, Flexkeeping or hotelkit.
- Can I move my data from Snapfix to Fixray?
- Your site structure, yes: sites, locations and categories each import from a CSV. Assets and historical issues have no CSV importer yet, so those start fresh in Fixray. If the history matters, email hello@fixray.app before you set up and we'll tell you what can realistically be moved.
